I think there has been a missed opportunity to enlarge the BYU fan base.

Once the athletic programs at BYU-I and BYU Hawaii shut down their programs, BYU could have done some outreach games like that to build the fan base. I’m sure many of those students root for the Y anyway, but seeing the teams in person is a different experience.

It could have been an inexpensive way to get more people to pay attention.
