Yeah, but even an average July or August is crappy. It’s not unusual for one of the summer months in Utah to receive...
almost no rain at all. A bad July or August is not nearly so detrimental as a bad February or March.

And the news just reports Salt Lake Airport precipitation data, which just happened to be a bubble of little

They aren't lazy, they want to spread doom since it drives clicks/viewership

I think it's both. I'm pretty confident they don't even know where to look for good overall data on it.

It didn't rain here in Saratoga. Light drizzle only and not long.

That's again why rain data from just one station is not really helpful. The news always does this.

The news might but the state is tracking totals.Measuring reservoirs, canals,

Our reservoir levels are the result of years of previous drought. My whole point is that July 2021 was fine.

We sometimes love to ignore prayed for blessings when they are happening. (IE rain and vaccines).

Actually, most Utah reservoirs can go from very low to capacity in a year or two of normal winter snowfall.

Rain does not fill the reservoirs. Snow pack does that. Rain is a bonus. 2-3

Well, when you don’t have it you talk about it. And it’s a far more applicable word than rain.

We are actually getting monsoonal moisture this Summer….locations of high pressures have helped pull it north

You seem committed to put a negative spin on this. Reservoir levels aren't the only thing to look at

I would argue that I’m putting a positive spin on things. I’m saying a bad August is not a big deal.

Funny,it seemed like we started out with so many avalanche reports etc. you would have thought we had a huge snowpack.

Utah has had 2x it’s average annual avalanche fatalities in 2021, and we still have December coming up.
