For qualification yes. But for the actual World Cup, top 7 FIFA ranked teams + host are in Pot 1, teams ranked 8-15 are
Pot 2, and so forth. And then the draw takes place and takes "at random" one team from each pot for each group at the WC. If we can push our rank higher, it would help tremendously to not get stuck in a dangerous group (provided we actually qualify for the WC this time around).
