I don’t care all that much about sneaking into a playoff every 20 years just to get smoked by the SEC.

Sure the path to the playoffs is harder for South Carolina or Maryland than the top G5s, but unless you are one of the blue blood programs, I think you get the most joy out of playing a consistent slate of competitive, interesting, and meaningful games.

I think I’d have the most fun as a fan being a part of a conference and developing rivalries, even if it is dominated by 2 mega teams that I have almost no shot of getting past.
