Honestly, I think this is a bigger factor than BSU & fans seem to think. A new
conference could certainly make them change their field color to green, and I'm sure they would do it to get P5 access.
But playing on that field makes people think they're not big-time, and it hurts their reputation, even if subconsciously. It's a circus sideshow that detracts from what they actually do on the field.
