2 factors that I believe played in our favor.

1. From Whitt to the Utah ball boys they did not believe they could be beat. While there is something to be said about confidence this game manifested a false sense of security. Whitt said he would have bet his house they would win the trenches. Returned a lot of skill guys and picked up a solid QB transfer. It had the makings of a blow out.

2. BYU came in riding a huge emotional high with a win in Vegas and an invite to the BIG12. They had so much going on they didn't have time to overthink it. That forced them to focus on and stick to the game plan. As fans we didn't want to lose 10 in a row but for the players they really had nothing to lose.
