If you're into abandoned places, Hashima Island is reputed to be a fun place to go (if you can get permission).
I've posted about this place before. Please pardon the re-visit.
It's a World Heritage site, and was the inspiration for the James Bond show Skyfall.
They didn't actually film there, but used the island as a guide for the feel of the set they constructed.
