don't usually get worked up, but to say that because I have to forgive I won't feel natural negative emotions in response to another's actions seems like an impossible ask. You can't forgive unless there is an offense to forgive, and if there is an offense then that implies that someone was offended.
What I was trying to convey, and maybe I did it poorly, was that no matter how perfect a person may be we are still human and will have moments of being offended, no matter how fleeting. I agree that we should forgive and not dwell on those emotions and let them fester. I also agree that God is the only one who has the right to remember someone's offense and withhold forgiveness until proper repentance is achieved. In a fallen world there will always be things that offend and the important thing is our response. Maybe my interpretation of the word offended is very liberal though.
