If there were a former ute player who said all kinds of things about BYU as smack, and then later in his life got addicted to drugs, then straightened up and became a productive member of society again, I'd celebrate it. I would never deliberately shame them.

That's just so wrong on so many levels. He has brought shame on himself and if I were a Ute fan, I'd be upset because it brings them all down.
