I grew up in Mesa, never cared for BYU, went to ASU in the fall after graduating high school. Went on mission the following spring, and while out became great friends with a guy who join BYU by the time I came home (Spencer Nead). So I started following Nead at BYU, and got hooked on the program during that 2001 season, and its been all BYU since then.

I will still root for ASU (its where I went to school), but I don't really follow the program at all, and usually don't even know who's on the team.

But on Saturday the only team I wanted to play well was BYU.
