You know the expression, a tale of two halves?
That game against Arizona State was a game of 4 quarters. When it was over, I felt like I watched four games in one.

Quarter one was all over the place--after getting two quick turnovers, ASU moving the ball pretty well, and BYU's offense struggling to move more than 10 yards, I wasn't sure whether we were going to be blown out by ASU, or if we were going to do that to them.

Quarter 2 was on fire for us. We probably should have ended that quarter with 21 points (leading 28-7 at half) but poor clock management/use of timeouts on the last drive required an accurate, but risky pass that led to an interception and prevented an opportunity to put ASU in a body bag by halftime.

Quarter 3 felt a lot like Quarter 1 and, if it weren't for Allgier's boss move, who knows what would have happened in Q4.

Quarter 4, could in part be given to the fans at LES. ASU was moving the ball well when they weren't being penalized, but the continual false starts prevented any meaningful comeback. And the BYU offense got rolling again and put the game away.

That game was a roller coaster and in some ways reminded me of the 2016 season--an offense that sputtered at times but defense really shined through with generating needed turnovers. And for those with heart and blood pressure issues, one that makes the monitors start beeping.
