That's a key point right there. BYU's ability to fill the late timeslot could

end up increasing the payout that TV providers are willing to pay out to the Big 12. By stretching from Florida/WVU all the way to Utah, the Big 12 will have teams that are capable of playing in every time slot available which adds flexibility to scheduling which will hopefully maximize the number of games that ESPN/FOX will be able and willing to put on TV and in turn increase the amount of money they are willing to pay the Big 12 for TV rights.
