The number of high schools that field a women's wrestling team has really grown over the last several years. Utah now has a sanctioned HS women's wrestling championship. If BYU added men's wrestling, then they would simply have to also add a women's wrestling program. In general, wrestling programs aren't super expensive. Outside of coaching, scholarships, and travel to meets, there are very few other big costs. Other sports have large infrastructure costs--like fields, equipment, etc. Wrestling just requires mats, and the athletes can use existing athletics facilities for their training.
