I always laugh at people who are sHocKeD by “discovering” CB. Here are some guidelines to help you out.

1. Don’t take yourself too seriously, you will be made fun of

2. Don’t get offended

3. Realize that most of us are Uncle Ricos, self proclaimed insiders who know Mitt Romney’s cousin, and trolls. Take everything with a pound of salt. (50% of the board told me to break up with my girlfriend because she scheduled a date on the night of a BYU football game, she’s now my beautiful wife who’s attended every game this year with me)

4. That said, occasionally there are incredible causes on here, and, for as annoying as we can be, us Cougar fans are special community— support them.

5. We talk about everything on here, because we can. ‘Merica. That doesn’t make us experts, but we’ll sure act like it. We have pseudo experts in every field: defensive coordinator, politician, epidemiologist, church leader, etc. If this offends you, refer to rule #2

6. Love the Cougs with all your heart, might, mind, and strength

7. Hate the Utes— we are better than them


If you can do these 7 things, CB will be a good time and we welcome you. If you struggle in one of these areas, come on in, but don’t run back to Twitter with your feelings hurt just because your application wasn’t accepted by a P5 message board😉
