That is exactly what my son does, wait until the last minute. We have found that it is "better late then never" to be asked out, as long as it isn't to late. We have explained to him how important it is for the girls to get asked out and to go to the dance, especially if they are a senior. We are already working on him for senior prom to put something together with his friends. If we are lucky, he will give the girl at least 2 weeks to pick out a dress. As parents to a boy, know we are trying to make sure the girls get asked out.
