I think many were just relieved. In the moment, it was a damage control play. It was an "Oh Crap, Hall just threw a pick, can we stop the bleeding?!" play. I think that he was disappointed in the 60 yard loss, and probably felt somewhat responsible since the guy he tried to block is who forced the bad throw.
Even the crowd responded with deep breaths, "Oh man, I can't believe that," instead of erupting with a huge roar like they would have for a touchdown.
