After the defensive efforts and game plans we've seen in 2021, it's clear Tuiaki CAN run a good defense. But it's clear
that even after 5 full seasons of recruiting, he still doesn't have the depth of personnel that allows him to run that good defense once he loses more than one (or possibly two) key defenders.

I was quite pleased with how the defense had played the first three games. But this game it was frustratingly disappointing to watch it return to Tuiaki form. Where the defense can't make plays. They couldn't get off the field. They couldn't get key stops. They couldn't keep containment. They struggled to tackle. They looked somewhat lost in defensive assignments.

I acknowledge injuries play(ed) a huge role in that last night. There's usually a reason starters are starters and backups aren't. And it's tough to get backups ready when starters go down. But that's the coach's job; and Tuiaki struggles with that.

I don't know what the answer is.

All said, my boys and I still had a great evening - it was a perfect night to watch a football game.
