My wife had her hip replaced 2 yrs ago.
One of her biggest regrets was that she didn’t do it sooner. Her life was transformed by the surgery. She is no longer limited in what she does.

Don’t have personal experience with it, but my uncle has had both hips replaced. The new hips last about 20 years.
