The 10:30 pm time slot is the worst one - no matter who's playing. The 7-7:30 time slot would be ideal but you can see that TV networks can use teams from all across the country for that slot. But, they can only get one conference for the 10:30 pm time slot - or BYU.
And last week, you notice they put Baylor and Iowa State on FOX at the coveted 3:30 time slot already. They had 3 PAC-12 conference games for the 10:30 time slot on ESPN, FS1 and ESPU. That wouldn't be a problem if the PT was a football hotbed like the South but it's actually the opposite.
So, comparing numbers from one team or one conference to another doesn't matter. What matters is time slots and the PAC-12 is locked into a timeslot that no one in the East watches and that fanbases in the West don't care about because college football isn't a major draw out West.
