I think we are likely to win but... they have to be planning every possible route to beat us. I am so pleased with this season that I have to remind myself that we are now the win that makes other team's season a success. Once you are in the top 10 beating you becomes a signature accomplishment for every team. Its been true for us in the past and it will be true for every team we face going forward unless we start losing.

I'm certainly not being a Debbie downer because this season is a success and I think its unlikely that we implode and don't win a minimum of 3 or four more. That said going undefeated for any team is an incredible accomplishment and one BYU only has had once in the last 35 years. Our opponents are doubly incentivized to beat us because: if they have a good record, a win against us right now bumps them to a higher ranking this year, leads to better recruiting and a better bowl game. If they are terrible we become the ray of hope that by beating us they can figure it out or already are turning a corner- better recruiting, fan contentment, player hope. Each week opposing coaches and players are looking deep to reveal weakness and to exploit it.

I think Boise could, not will, be much tougher than we think they will be. They took Ok St to the wire and that team is undefeated. They see us as a major rival and their fans don't like us. They have not beat us in Provo in awhile. If we start Conover and I'm them I stack the box against Allgeier and put together a ton of creative blitz packages to throw off a young QB.

Down the road Virginia and Baylor both have coaching staff reasons to win on top of other objectives. I suspect Grimes especially has a ton of great ideas on how to exploit our defense. USC seems to always figure their season out late with an interim coach so they might be at their best at the end of the season.
