I'd support this but the logistics make it almost impossible (especially when you consider the timing)
And I'm not just talking about trying to schedule the game at the same time as the AAC championship game.

At the time of the game, there's going to be a power imbalance between BYU and Cincy. Not sure which way it is, but one team will have more to lose than the other.

Let's imagine that one team (whether Cincy or BYU) is already in line to possibly make the playoff, then why would that team agree to the game?

If neither team is in line for the playoff, then there's a real chance that a loss (especially a convincing one) drops the losing team out of the NY6 altogether. Especially since the other G5 conferences could then rightfully point out that neither Cincy nor BYU is a G5 conference champion so that some other conference should get the auto-bid. Which makes one less spot available.

I guess...maybe if you got Cincy's conference championship game opponent to forfeit, then Cincy could take the game while still being a G5 conference champ. But that still leaves BYU with no protection. If we're #7 and we lose that game 28-10, we're almost certainly out of the NY6. And even if we win (assuming Cincy is maybe #6 or so) that's no guarantee we get all the way in to the playoff depending on how other conference championships play out.
