I think that proves my point. The offense has been by far the most consistent
strength of this team the last two seasons. It’s been so good, in fact, it more than makes up for a fairly middling defense and covers its deficiencies.

The problem is the defense isn’t good enough to return the favor. It isn’t able to make up for the occasional offensive setback. Can you think of a win over the last two seasons where the offense just stunk it up (like today) but the D compensated and saved the day? Maybe I’m missing it, but I can’t. However, the offense does that plenty - more than makes up, more often than not, for a generally lackluster defense.

Utah this season was one game where the D played lights out, only because Tuiaki finally let them loose.
