I believe 1996 was our best team ever.

But I think after they beat Texas AM in the opener they got a little full of themselves and they got humbled by WA. That WA team ended up 9-3 and when they played us they were 0-1 coming off a loss to ASU. We were 2-0.

Some people lament we lost that game because we could’ve gone 15-0. From what I saw that loss woke us up and made the team focus the rest of the year.

I’m hoping the Boise loss does the same. This team has some great talent. But they aren’t going to do anything special on that alone. They need focus and a loss can provide needed focus.
