No defense is saving the game when the offense has 6 turnovers. TOP doesn’t really matter, but giving the ball back to

the opponent with fumbles on, not just two consecutive drives, but two consecutive PLAYS means we literally had zero time of possession between their possessions.

Consecutive Drives of:

5 plays - fumble
0 plays - fumble
4 plays - turnover on downs.

That disparity in TOP is on turnovers. Not on the defense.

No it doesn’t. If you have turnovers on 5 consecutive possessions you lose regardless of TOP.

Right. We gave up 12 total points on drives that didn’t start on our own 25 after a fumble. We gave up 9 total points
