That is what we are playing for essentially. One loss likely eliminates us from NY6 contention, which sucks, but that's life. So the goal is then to stay as relevant as possible. If we are ranked, we stay relevant and build our brand entering the Big12. We become a program that has the reputation of being ranked year in and year out, we start getting more respect from pollsters, and our recruiting gets a nice boost.
Yeah, yesterday's loss was frustrating. We are better than Boise. We didn't take care of the football and gave them easy opportunities. But that kind of thing happens to everyone. We are still ranked, so we just need to bounce back with a big win against Baylor and we are then sitting pretty again. If we can win out, we just might be in the conversation for the fiesta. And if not, then we will finish close to top 10 and almost certainly be ranked to start next year.
All is well. Go Cougars!
