By any objective measure they've been much much harder:
- P5s played per year
- bowl teams played per year
- Teams with winning records played per year etc.
I think you could make a case that the end of the MWC and the first few years of Indy (when we were playing WAC teams), were the easiest schedules in BYU history. Bronco was the beneficiary of that.
