I've done SLC to NC coast many times. Last time was 35 hours straight, no stops.

But, I'm not normal.

My preferred route is SLC I-80 to Lincoln, Nebraska
US highway 2 East to I-29 South
At Kansas City take I-435 to I-70 East
At St Louis take I-64 East to Charleston, WV
At Charleston I-77 South to US Highway 52 to Greensboro
I-40 East from there ...

I80 has tolls through Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania
