I think he's using this opportunity to move onto a bigger, better job.
He's still got a decent resume. He'd be getting fired as Wazzu hit it's stride. Nick Rolovich could easily land himself a job at a decent P5 school without the COVID laws to worry about.
Gets out of small Pullman with its limited resources compared to UW and Oregon. And doesn't have to take the jab. Maybe even win a lawsuit later on. He's in a good position.
