There are hundreds of little cenotes you can hit. Typically the most epic ones
are more crowded and commercialized, but often they are worth it. I recommend doing cenotes and ruins first thing in the morning to avoid crowds. Especially since tour groups usually arrive around 10-11am.

We were there a few weeks ago and went to Ik Kil cenote near Chichen Itzá, which was great. If you make it to Cobá as others here have suggested, there is an off-the-beaten-path cenote that you will likely have all to yourself. Happy to tell you how to get there if you’re interested.
