The reality is that throws like those are HARD to do. In the past twenty years, we had two guys who could consistently hit deep throws time after time: John Beck and Zach Wilson. Not even Max Hall had great accuracy on deep balls, even though he is arguably the most successful QB in the 21st century for us. It's an all time QB who can hit long bombs time after time.
Those underthrown deep balls hurt, correct. But we only saw Baylor do it twice during Southern Florida with all the time in the world, and those receivers still made great catches (specifically Gunner).
