1. You won't find a nicer day weather-wise than that
2. I liked the students running onto the field at the start and lining the ropes for the team to run on the field
3. Stadium was nice and roomy, concourses were big and breezy, spacing between bench seats was better than LES
4. Baylor fans were very friendly, probably had 10+ fans say "welcome" and several say they were glad we were joining the Big 12
5. In food line one guy told me he was in the BU AD in the early 2000s when BU played at the MC and said it was the best fan atmosphere in the MC that he had seen at any place they had visited. Further, he said the BYU AD treated the visiting team and coaches better than any other school they visited.
6. Game was a drag. We definitely could've been in the game but the D was Swiss cheese. Without Puka it would've been a blowout
7. We sat up high directly behind the closed-in endzone and could see the way the teams lined up, ran routes, etc. pretty well. My main thought watching Jaren was that he doesn't seem to be seeing the field too well. There were receivers open in the middle and deeper zones several times and he held it too long and threw little underneath stuff for 0-2 yards.
8. Run game sucked but there were 3-4 times Jaren could've pulled it from Tyler on the read option and had large holes like the one he ran for a TD.
9. Still can't believe the refs did not call a single penalty on BU. Sitake was hot about it the whole game and yelling at them and getting in their face if they ever came over to him to talk. Especially on the last long run they had down the BYU sideline. Sitake was all up in the sideline refs face, following himup and down the sideline and and wouldn't stop until a coach stepped in between.
10. Overall, impressed with Baylor and their fans. They will be a good team to face in conference year-over-year
