His exemption request will be assessed along with a couple hundred other requests from WSU employees without disclosing his name, department or job. This first assessment is supposed to just judge whether the application describes a legitimate religious concern. If it's approved, it goes to the WSU VP for communications and PR for a decision. Since Rolovich is the highest paid state employee in Washington, it's safe to assume this PR VP has already talked to the university president and governor's office about what to do. And if the VP approves the waiver, the WSU AD has to make a formal declaration that it's a safe environment for an unvaccinated person to lead the football program with all of the attendant responsibilities.
I don't think an approval will be slipped through quietly.
