We loved our time in both. Frankly I wouldn’t pick either place to live but between the two it would be an easy choice.
Baton Rouge has some pretty rough areas as well and it’s constantly wet and humid. LA has much better weather and if you pick the right place to live it’s a great environment to live in.

Depends on where you are from. If you are a west coast guy it’s definitely USC anywhere else it’s LSU. I’d rather

Haha. Ok, yeah m, I’ve lived in both places and yes I love both places but the wards in and around LA are much stronger
