BYU could win all the games remaining and it won't change the season much....the bowl game is what it is and BYU is what it is.
BYU beat Utah this year and so this is a good season. It could have been an exceptional season, but the 2 losses close that door.
What's left? BYU has to win football games to add the talent that they obviously lack on the Offensive and Defensive lines. If a couple of injuries can completely derail the run game and run prevent then the coaching staff need to reconsider their idea of what depth looks like.
I don't expect big changes from BYU this season or next....if they go into the B12 and have a losing season or two then things will change. The admin at BYU is ok with 7-8 win seasons as long as there are no embarrassing honor code problems. I don't know any of the high dollar donors so I can't speak to how happy they will be with consistent .500 to just over .500 winning seasons. As a BYU fan I can either accept it or find a different team to cheer for. I'm choosing to accept that BYU is going to be mediocre....last season was an aberration thanks to a cream puff schedule.
