Waco is an old city with it being a fairly large city at the turn of the 20th century. With it being in Texas that means that there were some serious redlining that happened here and it still draws a line that generally follows being a Black north and east areas, Hispanic south, and White suburban. So much so that the "white" high school Midway which is in the suburbs of Hewitt and Woodway is now the biggest high school in the Waco metro area.

We aren't generally huge fans of Magnolia, but what they have done is help wake Waco up from the 70s and revitalize downtown. It's going to help when our new basketball arena is built downtown on the river too.
