The issue with making a David movie is that so much of the film is going to be conjecture and fluff. David saving a sheep? Okay, I guess, but what's coming is a very adult ending where David kills Goliath. How do you go from an overly sweet film about a boy saving sheep to that? I have a feeling the movie will not be well received, no matter how good the animation or voice acting is. There are much better stories to tell in the Bible than David slaying Goliath.
