But it would not be a smart move for the conference to take Boise and Memphis just for the sake of getting to 14 teams. The conference just lost 2 massive bell cows in Texas and OU and back filled it with 3 AAC programs and 1 Independent program... none of which were P5 and none come even remotely close to replacing Texas and OU.

Establish the conference as it is with the teams that you've got and hope that at some point you can take away teams from another P5 conference for once, Arizona Schools, Colorado/Utah... Possibly Nebraska... who knows. But it's time to shoot for bigger fish and not just adding a program for the sake of getting to a number.
