I'd be willing to bet that my company rolls out and says that the board has approved increasing our annual increase
budget from 1.5% last year to 2% this year. Annual merit increases are a joke. Barely worth fretting over. Promotions and or asking for increases mid-year based on performance is where 99% of my increases have come from.
