The Scouring of the Shire is one of my favorite parts of the books. I love the confidence and leadership the 4 Hobbits grew into after all their struggles and trials. When they see some pathetic men taking over and wrecking the Shire - something they would have likely feared before - they have no problems organizing the rest of the Shire and taking it back.

I was really bummed when Jackson nixed it.
