Zona - time has proven they are bad. You have to go the excuse route to explain why this game was close if we were a top 15 team.


Utah - they’ve turned a corner and will make our win look a lot better by season’s end. At the time we played them they had no leadership on offense and the offensive line was acting like they’d never seen a defense of any kind before. When Hans broke down the film, it was pretty clear most of the defensive pressure we saw that night was generally the result of Utah’s offensive line not blocking anybody than it was us doing anything special. And we still gave up a career night to Micah Bernard who has since returned to being a role player.

ASU - the outlier game. They have talent, but are not well coached. They get disorganized and undisciplined way too often.

USF - we were in a dog fight with USF. At home.

USU - another dog fight against a sub-par opponent. Top 25 teams don’t get into dog fights with teams the quality of USU, much less top 15. We should be able to have 6 starters out and still clobber the likes of a USU team.



Then we lost to BSU at home. There’s a real chance they don’t make it back to .500 this year.



I’m not saying we’re not a good team. We just aren’t a top 15 team and never were. We still have a legit chance for a 10-3 season, and that would be a really good year considering the new OC mixed with a revolving door at QB.
