I thought it was kind of obvious. Records. Ours, Baylor’s and WSU’s
Baylor was a fringe top 25. Only lost to a good OSU team. We were still ranked. It was an exciting game and could have proved Boise was just a fluke.
WSU sucked at the beginning of the year so their record isn’t great...and now byu fans see that we have glaring weaknesses.
IMHO I don’t think any of the other reasons you listed matter as far as why there isn’t as much buzz around this game...except for magnolia. That played a part in excitement for families to go
