Even if you’re a pass first offense, knowing how BYU struggles
stoppng the run, wouldn’t you gameplan accordingly? I think it’s fairly simple to beat BYU.
On defense, Hall isn’t going to run much so sell out to stop Allgieir (& Katoa). Make Hall beat you with his arm and pass blitz more when BYU gets inside your 35.
On offense, power run the ball a lot on first down especially to right side but throw in some play action very early in the game to ensure BYU doesn’t get too aggressive with guys close to LOS. Once you’ve established that you might pass, BYU likely backs off and plays more conservatively.
Easy peasy.
