Based on the article, it sounds like there was a tremendous amount of pressure to cut costs. That's probably not that unusual in any movie, but when it's already low budget, and if it's true that they allegedly kicked off union crews to save money or bypass restrictions in union contracts, it could be dicey.

They give out producer credits like drops of a hat to actors. That doesn't always mean they actually have any real responsibility. But obviously in this particular flick, he was the only one anyone had ever really heard of. You have to figure he has a lot of influence.

I can't even fathom having three accidental discharges and not instituting some pretty serious safety protocols, to say nothing of what the industry's safety protocols already should have been.

In the article it said Alec Baldwin's stuntman had two accidental discharges in rehearsal. What?

And then Baldwin has one that happens to kill someone and wound someone else?

It seems pretty apparent that there was negligence in some regard. Civilly, the LLC is toast I would imagine. Criminally, somebody or somebodies were negligent. And it certainly seems as though they were criminally negligent.

I will be honest, I hadn't commented much because there was so much we didn't know. We still don't. But the day after news story is generally a little bit closer than the one hour after news story.

It sounds like this production was a cluster.
