Went in totally blind, knew nothing about the book or had any insight to what it was about. Plot wasn’t too hard to follow, but I’ll definitely see it again for better understanding. Will see it in theaters next time, 70’ 4K viewing with theater sound was nice, but you can tell it’s one that’s much better in theaters.

For the first time since maybe Lord of the Rings I felt a sense of awe, mystery, and grand exploration with big world building. It was really well done.

Soundtrack was great at setting the tone, much like Lord of the Rings/Game of Thrones.

Really hope they make part 2. Can’t see how they won’t, demand will certainly be there. Hopefully it performs well enough at the box office.

It’s not going to be for everyone, but I loved it. Feels like we haven’t had a movie like this in a long time.
