At this point, it’s pretty clear that the Big 12 is a better football/basketball conference. Aside from that, it’s a much better cultural fit for both us and the member teams. PAC 12 would just be a headache for us going forward, at some point those schools would begin demanding HC concessions or more separation from the Church’s policies.

I know the biggest thing the PAC 12 has going for it is geography in the Mormon Belt, but I already see the Church strengthening in Texas/Midwest/Florida due to the rising cost to raise a family in the West. We fill stadiums out there much better than we could have thirty years ago.

Big 12 is a much better place to land hands down.
