Conference realignments and an exclusionary playoff have made college football (and sports in general) a lot less fun for me.
Adding politics to sports at the level we have seen with the PAC 12 totally deflates the fun balloon from college sports. When I watched the Washington State game yesterday, although we won, the whole atmosphere was just a dud. That seems to be a theme with the PAC 12. Look at College Gameday yesterday at UCLA, there were, ummm, dozens of people there. They could not get that plane off the ground regardless of the segment or camera angle.
However, at Baylor, where we endured a beatdown, the football atmosphere was fun. It was an escape from everyday life, and I hope to see that a lot in the Big 12.
