Lance is a project and barely 21. His ceiling is as high as anyone else in the draft, probably higher. But he’s by far the least pro ready of the rookies. You have a guy, while limited, took you to the Super Bowl. You supposedly have a really good team coming back. Why not run it back with Jimmy and see how it goes? You’re right, they would save money this year. But who would they use it on? Sherman is the only obvious choice, and even then, it’s not a gimme.

Now, if Kyle goes with Jimmy when they’re both healthy, it doesn’t make sense. You aren’t coming back from 2-4, you gotta let Lance play.
