Best players as consolidated as they are today? Today SEC and Big10 attracts the best. To me that’s obvious. Back in the 80’s I would think that talent was more evenly distributed. I know there were the ND- Michigans, UCLA’s but I wonder if the talent wasn’t as extreme between BYU and Washington in the 80’s as it is for BYU and Alabama today.
