I don't totally get it either, but his best win in 2.5 years is probably against
an 8-5 OK State team in 2019. I'm not sure he beat any other team who finished with a winning record. Things aren't really looking up so far this year. I'd generally think they let him finish the year though. Firing him now probably saves some money?

Edit: I guess Houston this year looks like a decent win.
