SO, it was many years ago ... kids were young and with us. We saw a planned Santa Gift in Sam's Club. Really good deal. So HCBW takes kids to the car while I buy it and all the other stuff. BUT, still have to get it home without the kids seeing us.
I happened to see a lady in our ward (empty nester at the time, or nearly empty nest, maybe just a senior). I mention to her that I have this issue, trying to get this present home without the kids seeing it. She says "I'll take it home, no problem, come get it later, when they are asleep".
GREAT!!!!
SO, later that night I go over, and the Husband answers the door, and I start to tell him the story... And he starts laughing. (By the way, he is HUGE guy ... 6'6" or maybe 6'8") just this tremendous barrel laugh. And he says "Oh, that makes sense. I help my wife unload the car, and I look at fun toy, for like 4 or 5 year olds and I think 'Wife, JUST because it is a great sale, you don't HAVE to buy it'"
Yeah, you can come home from Costco / Sam's club with ALOT of stuff..... even presents for the other kids in the ward who live around the corner!!!
